Allied Shirts Review

I am thrilled to share with you about Allied Shirts. They provide you with a chance to use your creativity and design your own shirt or hoodie. There are different styles of shirts that are offered and they range in affordable prices.

Allied Shirts's website is very easy to navigate. You are taken through the process of designing your chosen shirt with clear directions and great pictures of how the final product will appear. You can try different options and then make your final choice.

For my shirt, I decided to surprise my son with a shirt for him to wear. I ordered the Budget Tee, in a military green color, which is of great quality and durability. I then added the wording I thought he would love. I loved the quick and easy process of ordering. I received the shirt in just a few days of ordering. I was really happy with how the shirt arrived.

So here's the final product pictured above. It's kind of hard to make out the wording in the picture, but it says "Called to Serve".  Simple but draws attention.  You can also add a name, numbers etc on the back of the shirt. Allied Shirts would be great for a team t-shirt jersey, or for field trips for schools. They could also make great gifts for Christmas with fun personalized wording for the recipient.

I am thrilled with how the shirt turned out. I will be recommending them to everyone I know who needs or wants this fun type of shirt or sweatshirt!

Caring Cross

What a blessing to be a part of sharing the story of the Caring Cross with all my readers. The Caring Crosses are carved from a unique grained olive wood from olive trees in Bethlehem. Christians originally made these for pilgrims and then tourists visiting the Holy Land. Buying these crosses helps to support the craftsmen working on them. They receive a good price which supports their family and the Christian community of Bethlehem.

Here are some pictures showing the work and creativity in the design of the crosses. You can see the amazing detailed work that is put into each individual cross.

 The cross is beautiful. It is very smooth to the touch and fits perfectly in your hand. The cross would be a wonderful gift for someone for anything from needing comfort through illness, graduations,Christmas,baptism, or really anything. I can't wait to share one with a family member for Christmas.

You can also buy these individual crosses for a fundraiser for a church or youth program. What a great and unique way to get the message of Christ out to the world.

Little Star by Anthony DeStefano

      At Christmas time, a little boy wants his Dad to tell him about the Christmas Star. Dad is ready with a wonderful story. He tells his son about Little Star. Little Star is the smallest star and spends his time lonely, and ignored. He wants so much to help and be a part of things. He knows that there is a King about to be born. He follows Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem.
      What he discovers is how alike he feels to Mary and Joseph. They are also ignored,poor, and not taken care of. Little Star is amazed to find them similar to himself. He knows how they feel. He knows that the baby being born is the King.
      Little Star realizes after the child is born, that he came to bring the message that everyone is loved, and nobody should be ignored. When he realizes the King is cold, he burns bright so that he can help keep the King warm. By doing this, he burns himself out. What we find is the story finds itself back in the cozy home of the boy and his Dad. The boy hears the reason the star is shining on top of their tree each year.

      This is a wonderful book! I loved the message and the idea of telling the story from the stars perspective. What an amazing way to demonstrate the reason Jesus came to Earth.
      Mark Elliott also did an great job on the illustrations. The pictures are gorgous. They remind me of a painting. They help bring the reader into the story so they can hear the message underlined in the story.

This is a book that would make a great addition to any family's Christmas library. What a special gift for any child! It is available Sept 1st. Great with Christmas season just around the corner!

Birthday Times Newspaper

What a great way to honor someone on their birthday with a special and unique gift! In The Birthday Times, they are able to provide some fun memories of the day of a loved one's birth.  

I really was excited to be able to review this. My son turned 16 last week, and I chose his name for my complimentary copy. I wanted him to have something different for this significant birthday and this was the perfect thing. He had fun looking over the page and seeing what was going on around the world on the day of his birth.  

Here are some of his comments: "It was a lot of fun to read the facts and to see what I knew", "The article about the president visiting was hilarious!" The only thing he wasn't sure about was the picture of beer. He's only 16 and we don't drink either, so he thought maybe for kids birthdays there should be an alternative picture in place of beer.  

Overall I really enjoyed the newspaper. On the front page, there are 8 articles about a variety of topics. There are some black and white pictures to go along with some of them, making it resemble a newspaper in a realistic way. I think it would add even more if people had options of some things that were in the newspaper, or if they could add a picture of the actual person.
